As the November darkness descends over the Stockholm archipelago, we heat up the sauna by the sea and invite you to spend a day and night enjoying Aufguss, food, and lodging at Idöborg.
From Friday afternoon through Saturday morning, enjoy sauna rituals, dinner, and an evening get-together at Strandbaren, a night on the island, and a morning sauna before the stay concludes with brunch.
The warm, aromatic air is distributed throughout the sauna, creating intense waves of heat.
Breathe in the fresh archipelago air and let your gaze wander over the sea. The contrast between the heat of the sauna and the November air outside is a big part of the experience.
Juha travels all over the country in search of new sauna gems. He has been a sauna master for three years, and his favorite type of sauna is the smoke sauna. One of Juha’s favorite sauna masters is Patrik Bylund, and in the winter you’ll often find him at Hellasgården.
Jonas is hosting the sauna weekend and has been a regular at Hellasgården for the past four years. The sauna is a natural part of his daily life, and he uses it pretty much every day, all year round.
After this afternoon’s Aufguss, the evening continues at Strandbaren. A snack platter will be served at 5:30 p.m., and at 8:00 p.m., dinner will be served, featuring Idöborg chili with sides, followed by crème brûlée.
Starting at 9:30 p.m., there will be music and a get-together at Strandbaren. The bar will be open throughout the event, and drinks will be available for purchase. The sauna will be kept warm until midnight for anyone who wants to take another turn.

Travel to and from Idöborg by pre-booked boat taxi through Idöborg, Waxholmsbolaget, or Stavsnäs Båttaxi. Below is a selection of suitable departures for the event’s arrival and departure days—always check the current schedule, as there may be additional departures.
For those arriving by boat, Idöborg’s sheltered guest harbor—with space for about 50 boats—is just a stone’s throw from Strandbaren.
