The Porcelain Theater with Miss Julie

A warm welcome to a magical evening in our new banquet hall, Ögonblicket.

This Christmas Eve, we are honored to welcome Porslinsteatern with their production of Miss Julie. Choose between purchasing a concert ticket only, a ticket including dinner at Strandbaren, or an overnight package with meals and a ticket.

The event:

"Miss Julie" is one of the greatest classics of our time, shedding light on class divisions and human desires. Julie, a young upper-class woman, and Jean, her servant, explore forbidden love and conflicts that reflect society's norms and expectations, leading to a violent struggle for power, identity, and survival.    We want the play to be a psychological study that draws the audience into a world of emotional turmoil and social drama, where nothing is what it seems.

The performance will be a tribute to the performing arts and, of course, Strindberg.

Following last year's success with Utvandrarna (The Emigrants) in Gustavsberg, we would like to offer another Swedish classic, in a new and unique version. It will be an intimate, almost cinematic interpretation of power struggles, gender roles, and love—all wrapped up in an almost unbeatable natural setting and environment.

4:00 p.m. – Taxi boat departs from Stavsnäs (NOTE: Optional when purchasing concert tickets and dinner).

4:00–7:00 p.m. – Concert dinner at Strandbaren. Three-course meal, choice of meat/fish/vegetarian on site. (NOTE: Optional when purchasing tickets).

6:30 p.m. – Taxi boat departs from Stavsnäs (NOTE: Optional when purchasing concert tickets only).

6:30 p.m. – Doors open at Ögonblicket. Drinks can be purchased on site.

7:00 p.m. to 8:10 p.m. First act

8:10-8:40 p.m. Refreshment break

8:40-9:20 p.m. Second act

21:20 – Afterglow and sunset.

10:20 p.m. – Taxi boat departs back to Stavsnäs (NOTE: Optional when purchasing tickets).
