Wednesday Jazz - Jonny Ek Trio meets Erik Söderlind

Erik Söderlind is one of the foremost artists on the Swedish jazz scene and has received numerous awards for his musicality. Influenced from an early age by Wes Montgomery, George Benson, and Grant Green, he has developed his own personal sound over the years, which is both modern and deeply rooted in the melody, swing, and blues of the jazz tradition.

He is now part of a partnership with Jonny Ek Trio, who released their debut album in 2021, Live at the Valley. Together, they offer real gems from the jazz repertoire of the 50s and 60s (Wes Montgomery/Wynton Kelly/Cannonball/John Coltrane, etc.) as well as their own compositions in the same spirit!
