The Miranda Pérez Quartet is a group that began to emerge in 2022 at Skurup Folk High School. They share a passion for the classic Blue Note recordings from the 1960s.
Inspired by musicians such as Horace Silver and Cannonball Adderley, they tackle both their role models' music and a more classical standard repertoire with a new perspective and their own arrangements.
The focus is on ensemble playing, while each musician is given plenty of space to shine. The music consists of a broad palette of colors, ranging from languorous ballads to sky-high swing.
