Recovery is the theme for these three days.
With the help of yoga, meditation, kayaking, sauna bathing, and delicious vegetarian food, you will have the opportunity to relax, recharge, and get what you need.
You decide for yourself what you want to participate in. Perhaps you would rather sit on a cliff and philosophize to yourself, or socialize in the glass veranda of the turn-of-the-century villa.
Arrival is on Friday morning and departure is on Sunday afternoon.
The boat departs from Stavsnäs on Värmdö, which can be reached by bus from Slussen. The crossing takes about 30 minutes. Accommodation is available in single and double rooms, and all meals served are vegetarian.
An important reason why so many people have returned to this retreat year after year for the past 20 years is the simplicity of the social interaction and the opportunity to be alone – if that is what you need. And, of course, everything that yoga has to offer. Plus the good food.
Kundalini yoga and Mediyoga/Medical yoga are the types of yoga used. It is yoga that everyone can participate in based on their own abilities – regardless of whether you are a beginner or an experienced yoga practitioner.
The instructors are experienced and have more than 20 years of experience teaching yoga.
This is also the 20th consecutive year that this popular retreat has been organized.
The first day begins with a longer yoga session before lunch and an evening session later in the day. The weekend continues in the same spirit, with a balanced mix of yoga, meditation, sauna, and kayaking. All activities are optional.
Kayaking takes place in the beautiful nearby archipelago. Many participants have never kayaked before and find it both safe and fantastic. If you don't want to kayak, you can simply skip it.
The sauna is wood-fired and located right by the water.
Every evening, you have the opportunity to participate in gong meditation – a powerful healing and strengthening experience. If you prefer to abstain, there is also plenty of space to just be – enjoy nature or socialize over a cup of tea in the beautiful Kreuger turn-of-the-century villa.
No previous experience of yoga is required – everyone participates according to their own abilities.
